Director, NIL Strategy & Athlete Marketing

This position will develop both short‑term and long‑term strategies to stay current on name, image and likeness (NIL) developments and best practices. Responsibilities include managing operations surrounding the NIL programming such as education programming, monitoring, and ensuring adherence to university, conference, state, federal, and NCAA policies.
Lead and manage Marquette Athletics' NIL program by designing and executing strategic initiatives that connect student‑athletes with campus partners, alumni, and external resources to enhance NIL opportunities and outcomes.
Serve as the primary liaison for all NIL‑related matters, fostering collaboration and clear communication among student‑athletes, coaches, staff, university departments, and external partners. Manage NIL‑related inquiries and requests, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate NIL policies and procedures to ensure alignment with university goals and full compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations. Monitor and track NIL activities, relationships, and engagements with agents and service providers to maintain compliance standards.
Design and deliver a comprehensive NIL education program for student‑athletes and staff covering NCAA compliance, personal branding, financial literacy, and emerging industry trends. Manage budget and monitor financial reports for program.
Develop communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of evolving NIL trends, legislation, and best practices, while positioning Marquette as an industry leader in the NIL space.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years related experience and a bachelor’s degree preferably in Sports Administration, Sales, Marketing or similar fields.
Experience with NIL GO and INFLCR preferred.
Strong knowledge, skills and abilities in compliance, negotiation, and communication.
