Role Description : The Senior HR Business Partner provides strategic HR consultation to leaders and staff within assigned colleges and departments, leading projects, analyzing data, and supporting organizational initiatives to meet university goals. Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, investigations, workforce planning, engagement, and policy compliance. Partner with leaders and staff, provide counsel, and conduct investigations, including complex cases. Use data to inform HR strategies and serve as an HR liaison in crises.
Lead university-wide HR projects, ensuring objectives are met, engaging stakeholders, and representing HR on cross-university initiatives.
Support compensation and job description assessments, advising on new hires, merit adjustments, and clarifications.
Collaborate on organizational development and design, providing input on structure, change management, and training initiatives.
Manage ADA and leave processes, partnering with internal units and vendors for accommodations and leave management.
Analyze HR data, interpret trends, and discuss systemic issues with leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related; at least 6 years in employee relations, performance management, organizational development; proven experience in complex investigations; strong business acumen; effective communication; ability to handle ambiguity; confidentiality; knowledge of employment laws. Preferred: Master’s degree, HR certifications, experience with labor relations.
