Tax Manager – Healthcare
Withum’s Tax Services Group brings together a brilliant team of tax specialists who ensure tax reporting obligations are met accurately and timely, while minimizing or deferring tax payments. The Healthcare Tax Manager will work across our offices in Chicago, Florida, Houston, NJ, NY, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, leading engagements, supervising staff, and building relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the review and filing of annual healthcare tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120‑S.
Work on various tax consulting special projects and day‑to‑day tax assistance for healthcare industry clients.
Attend professional tax webinars and presentations relevant to the healthcare sector.
Support and coordinate with audit and consulting teams within the healthcare group.
Contribute to the development of staff and the growth of the firm’s healthcare niche practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license, JD, or Master of Science in Taxation.
At least 5 years of experience in a public‑accounting tax department, leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
Excellent analytical, technical, and organizational tax skills.
Exceptional client‑service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring capabilities, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Compensation Competitive base salary ranges by location:
Chicago: $125,000 – $160,000 annually
Los Angeles: $135,000 – $210,000 annually
New Jersey: $95,000 – $185,000 annually
New York: $105,000 – $160,000 annually
Philadelphia: $100,000 – $165,000 annually
San Francisco: $135,000 – $170,000 annually
In addition to base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package, bonus program (for eligible roles), and potential for other location‑specific benefits.
