Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Baltimore, MD (Local contract or travel contract). This is a 13‑week contract opportunity with Pride Health, a minority‑owned healthcare staffing firm.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established safety protocols, ensuring accurate dosing and proper documentation for all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including Siemens gamma cameras and SPECT/SPECT‑CT systems, to acquire high‑quality diagnostic images.
Perform quality control and calibration on devices such as Capintec well counters, uptake probes, dose calibrators, NMIS dosing systems, and ventilation equipment (e.g., Xenon Pulmonex) to ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
Assess, prepare, and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, providing clear instructions, monitoring patient well‑being, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
Review, process, and transfer imaging data using PACS and related software, collaborating with physicians, physicists, and other clinical staff to support accurate interpretation and timely patient care.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
ARRT and BLS via AHA
Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance required.
