Capture Manager

Our department is actively hiring a Capture Manager. The role requires experience in a mature capture process and a demonstrated ability to secure large prime contracts.
Responsibilities
Own assigned opportunities and manage the full business development life‑cycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals.
Be responsible for 2‑3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle, primarily in the federal market.
Conceptualize winning strategies, develop capture plans that translate into win themes, discriminators, and scorable strengths, and adjust the strategy as the procurement unfolds.
Lead capture activities, including:
Develop a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
Qualify and assess the “win‑ability” of new opportunities.
Secure knowledge of customer requirements, challenges, and needs during the capture phase; lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team.
Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, timing, and contract vehicle choices.
Lead milestone/gate reviews, black‑hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and proposal reviews.
Execute competitive assessments, teaming, and price‑to‑win efforts.
Prepare and submit white papers, RFIs, and other proposal artifacts.
Apply KBR capture management best practices, create and disseminate capture artifacts—call reports, budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statements.
Brief senior management on capture status at specified milestones and when material changes occur.
Help create winning solutions and secure large new business programs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and a total of 10+ years of experience, including 8+ years of industry experience and 4+ years of business development experience.
Experience winning new business single‑award contracts valued over $200M.
Equivalent related experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
History of winning large prime, single‑award, non‑IDIQ contracts.
Ability to work with senior business and government leaders and provide leadership within the workplace.
Working knowledge and experience within a mature, industry‑leading capture organization targeting space and engineering support.
Ability to drive profitable financial outcomes with an understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE development.
Proven success in business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, civil space programs, civilian federal programs, acquisition processes, and opportunity qualification.
Demonstrated leadership skills in service‑centric organizations required to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities, build industry teams, assess win probability, and execute customer call plans.
Basic Compensation $146,800 – $220,100 (based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience; internal parity considered)
Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation per internal policy or contractual designation, including sign‑on bonuses, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
