What you’ll do:

Manage and mentor a team of engineers in a fast‑paced, quick‑to‑market environment.

Set strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver.

Spearhead the optimization of auction dynamics to balance competing goals in ad delivery.

Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders to translate business and market needs into algorithmic requirements, guiding the development, testing, and implementation of ranking and pricing models.

Evaluate the technical trade‑offs of major decisions and serve as a strong technical mentor.

Hire, grow and retain high‑performing team members.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Background building high‑availability and mission‑critical systems.

Experience leading an engineering team.

Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives.

Experience with two‑sided markets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical experience.

8+ years of post‑Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree + 7+ years; or a PhD + 4+ years.

1+ years of experience as a manager for an engineering team.

Experience working on recommendation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi‑stakeholder environments.

Experience in ads domain and two‑sided markets.

Experience with ops‑heavy systems/products.

Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The position may be eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): Base salary range $229,000–$343,000 annually.

Zone B: Base salary range $218,000–$326,000 annually.

Zone C: Base salary range $195,000–$292,000 annually.
