Job Description As the Director of Data Architecture, you will design, build, and scale the data platform that powers enterprise‑wide analytics, innovation and AI. You will blend technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver trusted high‑quality, and actionable data across the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Architect & Evolve the Data Ecosystem: Define reference architectures, canonical data models, and integration patterns to establish a consistent and agile data foundation.

Build, optimize, and expand a modern data lake that supports diverse business scenarios and drives measurable outcomes.

Evaluate, curate, and integrate modern data stack technologies to speed delivery, enhance capabilities, and maximize business value.

Collaborate with business teams to understand objectives, define data requirements, and deliver actionable insights.

Design, deliver, and optimize scalable data pipelines, APIs, and real‑time streaming frameworks to support analytics and business‑critical insights.

Embed data quality, lineage, metadata management, and observability into all solutions for trusted and transparent data.

Prepare, structure, and enrich enterprise data to enable AI, ML, and predictive analytics use cases.

Architect ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable ingestion and transformation frameworks that support automation and AI‑driven workflows.

Develop analytical frameworks and prototype data models that support complex business decision‑making.

Identify and resolve data integrity issues; partner with various teams to drive long‑term upstream fixes.

Partner with security and compliance teams to establish secure, well‑managed, and highly accessible data environments.

Implement data security and access controls and governance models.

Success in this role includes a scalable, resilient, and future‑ready data architecture that accelerates innovation and business impact; organization‑wide access to trusted, high‑quality data that empowers decision‑making and experimentation; data governance, security, and privacy deeply embedded into every system and process; broad adoption of AI and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

8‑10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data platform development.

Proven leadership in data architecture, with experience delivering enterprise‑scale, cross‑functional solutions.

Skills

Advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling skills.

Experience in designing and deploying Lakehouse architecture.

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills; ability to influence and inspire diverse stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits Details

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short‑Term Incentive (STI) Plan, Long‑Term Incentive (LTI) program, and other compensation based on role and performance.
