Senior Transaction Director - Bay Area (Hybrid)
CBRE is seeking an experienced Senior Transaction Director to drive successful client transitions in the Bay Area. This hybrid role blends in‑office and remote work and will evolve to provide dedicated transaction management support for a single client.
About the Role
As the Senior Transaction Director, you will lead new Transaction Management account transitions, oversee special projects for strategic accounts, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Account Teams and clients, provide strategic governance, and lead planning, risk assessment, and mitigation efforts.
Lead transaction management account transitions and special project success as the primary point of contact for Account Teams and clients in the US.
Set and drive transition and project objectives and performance indicators; work with account teams or Platform peers/leadership to meet milestones.
Act as escalation point for Account Teams, recognizing and capturing lessons learned.
Responsible for hand‑off to Account Team and assist with stabilization.
Participate in pursuit/solution process, showcasing depth of experience and assessing potential roadblocks.
Serve as SME for TM delivery and account management; support new account teams delivering the CBRE‑Way and provide guidance/orientation.
Support the client pursuit process, including solution and transition strategy development and presentations.
Lead transition planning efforts post‑award prior to kickoff, including team mobilization.
Ensure all transition commitments are met and delivered on time following the CBRE transition process.
Develop the transition budget, forecast deviations, and provide required reporting.
Lead the Go Live strategy to ensure successful Day 1, meet contract obligations, and manage project closeout and handoff.
Lead Account Peer Reviews and Account Refreshes; formulate recommendations and implementation plans.
Transaction Director responsibilities for a specific client include team leadership, implementation of client real‑estate plans, broker selection, financial management, KPI reporting, process improvement, and related duties.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Real Estate License.
Minimum 10 years of transaction management experience; preferred background includes technology clients, portfolio strategy development, and process improvement.
Ability to support multiple client transitions.
International/global work experience preferred.
Process development expertise with proven ability to conduct gap analysis, develop playbooks, and lead improvement initiatives.
Expert facilitation skills for meetings and workshops.
Change Management leadership experience and ability to partner with stakeholders.
Strong project management, coaching, and consulting skills.
Proven ability to ensure scope is accounted for within the transition plan; develop custom components as needed.
Risk identification and mitigation planning skills.
Proven experience managing employees through recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and retention.
Experience operating in ambiguous environments and improvising solutions tailored to clients.
Proactive and adaptable approach, thriving in a dynamic environment.

Compensation
Base salary: $190,000–$250,000 annually, potential discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s benefit program.
