About the Position
We are working with a prestigious Am Law firm that has an active need for a trusts and estates lawyer to join its Chicago office as a senior associate or senior counsel (title will depend on level of experience). This firm has one of the largest and most distinguished private client practices in the country and attorneys in this practice represent individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations with sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management matters, including philanthropic giving, high‑value and complex art transactions, and tax and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities
Draft complex estate plan and business succession planning documents for high‑net‑worth individuals as well as complex charitable giving documents
Counsel clients on income, gift, estate, and generation‑skipping tax planning
Process federal gift and estate tax returns
Required Qualifications
8+ years of high‑net‑worth estate plan drafting, estate and trust administration, charitable planning, and trust agreement drafting experience
Experience with Chapter 14 compliant planning for private equity/hedge fund managers is a plus
Large or midsize law firm experience preferred
Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $325,000 – $350,000.
