Your impact We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative
Senior Project Manager
who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based at our client’s site in Boston, MA you’ll report directly to the Program or Regional Manager leading a team of management‑level employees on the project. Your focus will be the overview of the General Contractor and the immediate construction of the project procedures and controls. You’ll be responsible for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives. You’ll manage and provide construction oversight and resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you’ll be client facing.
As the onsite Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical performance of a project, but also the materials management, budget, schedule, cost, scope development, design and construction contracts and documents, and safety of the team. You’ll manage the review and approval process for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders and coordinate with the Control Manager for proper posting in the reporting program. You’ll review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
You’ll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques. Your keen ability to multi‑task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast‑paced environment.
Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture
15+ years of related construction project management experience with construction building projects
Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
Strong people leadership skills along with building and maintaining client relationships
Knowledge of MEP estimating, scheduling and cost control
Thorough knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document control, forecast scheduling and costs, preparation of change order review, and review of payment
Ability to be proactive and incorporate interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships
Ability to travel across country 1‑2 times per month is required
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Prior experience leading large project greater than $200M
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), CM‑Lean, DBIA Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification
