About the Role At Jacobs, our Program Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) team works seamlessly with clients, delivering projects and programs to achieve their goals. This role supports the transition of vision from concept to reality by managing a portfolio of construction projects in Chicago.

Responsibilities Provide leadership to a group of Project Managers to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget. Oversee project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives. Manage construction oversight and resolve complex construction‑related issues, disputes, and disagreements. Engage in client‑facing communication as needed. Ensure progress, technical performance, materials management, budget, schedule, cost, scope development, design and construction contracts, and safety of the team. Manage the review and approval process for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications, change orders, and coordinate with the Control Manager for proper posting in the reporting program. Review construction project database status and monitor variances relative to scheduling and cost control reporting. Apply proven project‑management techniques to reduce costs and add value to the business.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science

in an engineering discipline, construction management, or architecture

15+ years of related construction project management experience with building projects

10+ years of experience as a Senior Construction Project Manager in an engineering, environmental, or construction organization, including management and oversight of other Construction Project Managers

Strong knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building

Prior experience with K12 building construction

Desired Qualifications

Experience in Design/Build contract delivery

Certified Construction Manager (CCM), CM‑Lean, DBIA Professional, professional engineer (PE) or architect license or certification
