Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position working nights with BLS and NIH Stroke certification required.
Responsibilities Position is on a 42-bed Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting Provides care for patients with ESRD, autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, GI bleed, and diabetes Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00) Requires work every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed Use of EPIC charting system Responsibilities include admission, treatment, and transfer of patients on the Med/Surg Tele unit No block scheduling offered Holiday time off requests are not allowed No interview required for this position
Requirements Active NC or compact RN license Current BLS and NIH Stroke certifications in hand ACLS and CPI certifications preferred EPIC charting experience preferred Two professional references required for consideration Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
