Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and assisting in various medical procedures. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical examinations of patients to assess their health status. Assist in urgent care situations, providing immediate medical attention as needed. Manage airway procedures and neonatal ventilation for critically ill patients. Collaborate with physicians on cardiac catheterization procedures and other advanced medical interventions. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare team members and document patient information accurately. Participate in clinical research projects to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and practices. Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans. Perform suturing and other minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a physician. Engage in training within a teaching hospital environment, mentoring students or new staff as required. Skills The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and assessing patient health. Experience with neonatal ventilator management and airway management techniques. Strong understanding of urgent care protocols and procedures. Familiarity with radiation therapy practices is advantageous. Knowledge of cardiac catheterization processes is preferred. Ability to perform sutures competently in clinical settings. Effective communication skills, particularly in medical terminology. Interest in participating in clinical research initiatives to improve patient care practices. A commitment to continuous learning within a teaching hospital environment.
