Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and hospital environments. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services, perform diagnostic evaluations, and assist in patient management across a diverse patient population. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status. Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed. Perform procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion. Manage acute pain and provide hospice & palliative medicine care. Utilize EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient records. Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies. Provide triage services in emergency situations to prioritize patient care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care settings, including ICU and Level I/II trauma centers. Educate patients on health management, nutrition, and preventive care strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality. Skills Candidates should possess a robust skill set that includes but is not limited to: Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing processes. Experience with telehealth platforms to facilitate remote patient consultations. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with various clinical environments such as outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and emergency rooms. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations including cardiac catheterization and phlebotomy. Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, family planning, addiction counseling, and infectious disease care. Competence in managing patients on ventilators or neonatal ventilators. Strong communication skills for effective patient education and health coaching. Commitment to evidence-based practice through involvement in clinical trials or research initiatives.
