Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery for our client in Wisconsin! Responsibilities: Provide support for clinic, call, and surgical needs alongside two neurosurgeons Manage 10?12 clinic patients per day Perform surgical first assist in neurosurgical cases Conduct bedside procedures Round independently in NICU, PICU, pediatrics, ICU, and general med/surg floors Handle hospital and ER/urgent care consults Perform outpatient consultations, post-operative and post-hospital patient care, and fracture care Manage patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation Qualifications: Recent neurosurgery experience, including surgical cases Ability to work independently in both inpatient and outpatient settings Proficiency in handling complex neurosurgical procedures Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. clinic Additional 12-hour shifts available Call coverage on a 1:3 rotation for weekdays and weekends with 20-minute beeper response time Skills: Surgical procedures including craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries Independent rounding in various hospital units Strong patient communication and follow-up skills Proficiency in both clinical and surgical environments All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
