Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes through effective diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and IV infusions.
Manage acute pain and provide hospice & palliative medicine as needed.
Triage patients to determine the urgency of care required.
Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies.
Provide education to patients regarding health management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications.
Assist in surgical procedures as needed, including suturing and catheterization.
Monitor patients in critical care settings, including ICU and PICU environments.
Engage in telehealth consultations to enhance patient access to care.
Skills
Proficient in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks) and medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10).
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support protocols.
Experience in various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, infectious disease care, and occupational health.
Familiarity with pain management techniques and acute care practices.
Ability to perform procedures such as phlebotomy, spinal taps, gastric lavage, and airway management.
Understanding of NCQA standards for quality healthcare delivery.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.

Pay: $27.08 - $32.61 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
