Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience across various medical settings including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. As a Physician Assistant, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical care, conduct patient assessments, and assist in the management of treatment plans. Duties Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status. Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Manage acute pain management and provide care for patients in critical conditions. Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care as needed. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient records. Participate in clinical research and data collection initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Provide triage services in emergency settings, assessing the urgency of patient needs. Engage in health coaching and education for patients regarding their conditions and treatment options. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information. Requirements Master?s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Strong clinical skills with experience in areas such as internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or urgent care. Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing processes. Familiarity with critical care procedures including ventilator management and airway management. Experience in hospital settings such as Level I or II trauma centers is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is essential. Ability to perform suturing, phlebotomy, and other clinical procedures effectively. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
