Job Description
Chused & Co. is seeking a freelance interior architectural drafter to assist designers in floor plans, elevations, sketch models, and presentation‑ready renders. This role requires exceptional technical drawing ability to produce documents efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality 2D floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings in AutoCAD.
- Develop complete drawing sets for contractor bidding and active construction.
- Create 3D models and renderings in SketchUp and Enscape for design presentations.
- Manage multiple projects at once, maintaining accuracy, speed, and clear priorities.
- Communicate effectively with the internal design team.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or coordination issues before they become problems.
- Maintain consistent drafting standards and organized file structures across all projects.
Qualifications
- Exceptional AutoCAD proficiency and strong rendering skills in SketchUp and Enscape.
- Experience producing bid sets and construction‑ready documents.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to take initiative, follow direction precisely, and work with minimal oversight.
- Strong organizational habits and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced studio environment with shifting deadlines.
