About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the execution of the production schedule as a result of line‑of‑balance output, taking into consideration the available capacity, material availability and program delivery commitments. You will communicate to business product support managers and program managers the manufacturing status, expected completion dates, and production cost/schedule risk analysis.
Job Responsibilities
Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, and program management, and other supply‑chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments.
Take ownership of execution of items associated with your planner code, including release of internal jobs, purchase requisitions, and managing disruptions in the internal factory (shortages, MRB, constraints).
Provide feedback to internal customers and advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Monitor internal and external supply‑chain alignment – identify and resolve potential constraints, maintain line‑of‑balance (build‑through) and purchase requests for the production or purchase of components / parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
Play an integral part of product Integrated Product Teams (IPT) by effectively interfacing with internal customers on a daily basis, scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
Assist management in the development and execution of action/work‑around plans for assigned products/value streams to maximize scheduled on‑time completion; analyze supply and demand data and report to determine critical‑path constraints; perform product lead‑time analysis.
Manage manual demand for top/down & bottom‑up releases, facilitate ECN/ECP changes and coordinate production cut‑ins; review excess material for possible consumption in other jobs; create material transfers, borrow/payback transactions and PO change requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field with 2‑3+ years of professional experience.
1‑3 years of MRP experience; CPIM certification preferred.
Detailed understanding of supply‑chain principles.
Thorough understanding of various production planning, inventory techniques, capacity planning, and forecasting methods.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and networking skills.
Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent partnering and team‑building skills.
US citizen or capable of receiving a Secret level security clearance; qualified applicants subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for a Secret clearance.
