We are seeking a
Clinic Director
who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long‑term wellness. This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center (SAMHC), Spartanburg, SC 29303.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision of most clinical department supervisors and the CCBHC project director; lead and supervise their supervisees.
Direct the Center’s Disaster Preparedness and Response program and participate as a Mental Health Professional with the State Law Enforcement Division during debriefings.
Ensure the clinic meets all clinical intake requirements for Emergency, Urgent, and Non‑urgent cases.
Plan, organize, implement, and supervise all clinical services; recruit, screen, and recommend personnel for vacancies; create and revise policies and procedures; maintain clinic time for patient care.
Oversee the Center’s CARF accreditation process, ensuring compliance with CARF, local, state, and federal regulations; generate monthly reports for management.
Maintain Clinical Outcome Data tracking and the Strategic Action Plan for SAMHC.
Develop and maintain training programs; schedule and coordinate training opportunities; work with supervisors to arrange in‑house training.
Build effective relationships with community organizations; provide consultation/education; coordinate public relations and media releases; serve on local community development boards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Comments
Successfully complete the Basic Fundamentals course with a minimum grade of 75.
Pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
Have experience in both clinical and administrative supervision.
