Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
We are seeking a
senior, designer-level IBM i engineer
to provide technical leadership for
enterprise IBM Power and IBM i environments
supporting mission-critical ERP systems. This role focuses on
engineering, modernization, automation, and platform stability —not day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do
Lead and design IBM Power & IBM i OS environments (HMC, VIOS, IBM DS Storage)
Design, support, and enhance
HA/DR (MIMIX or similar)
Advance
observability, monitoring, and AIOps
practices
Partner with business and IT leaders; mentor team members
Support patching, upgrades, and on-call rotations as needed
What We’re Looking For
5+ years IBM i / IBM Power experience (10+ preferred)
Strong expertise in
HMC, VIOS, MIMIX, CL scripting
Engineering mindset with enterprise ERP experience
Experience with automation, platform security, and compliance
Strong communication and leadership skills
Nice to Have:
Fortra tools experience, AIOps initiatives, security automation, Bachelor’s degree
Hybrid schedule:
3 days onsite / 2 days remote
