Information Technology Operations Manager (Barstow)

We are seeking a strategic and experienced IT Manager to lead an IT department between 5-8 technicians. This role oversees IT operations, develops technology strategies, audits systems, and ensures cybersecurity and infrastructure are up-to-date. Youll manage a team, optimize resources, and implement processes that drive efficiency and innovation.

Requirements: At least 810+ years of overall experience with leadership/management experience between 4+ years leading IT teams, preferably within mid-enterprise level environments

Infrastructure & Systems Servers & Workstations:

Windows Server and PCs; Macs for admin users. Networking & Peripherals:

Switches, routers, firewalls (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet); printers, scanners, VOIP, and video/conference systems. Security & Compliance Cybersecurity:

Firewalls, antivirus/endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention. Compliance:

Tools for government/military IT standards (NIST, FISMA, state-specific). Software & Applications Productivity:

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace. ERP/Municipal Platforms:

Licensing, permits, HR, and finance systems. Cloud & Backup Cloud Services:

Azure, AWS GovCloud, hybrid solutions. Backup/Disaster Recovery:

Veeam, Datto, or enterprise solutions. Management & Monitoring IT Management:

SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, endpoint tools. Monitoring & Asset Management:

PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios; hardware/software inventory and licensing. Vendor Management & Procurement Procurement Experience:

RFPs, vendor contracts, licensing, and enterprise procurement platforms.

Specialized experience:

Familiarity with cybersecurity, audits, vendor management, and government IT platforms
