A dynamic, multi‑venue entertainment and events organization is seeking a Director of Finance to join its executive team. This is a unique opportunity to make a strategic impact across a major regional events complex—supporting nine unique venues that host over 1,100 events annually, including high‑profile concerts, sporting events, and community gatherings. Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
5–7 years of financial management or public accounting experience
Demonstrated expertise in general and cost accounting, internal controls, and financial operations
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, and serve as Manager on Duty when needed
Successful completion of background and credit checks
Preferred Background & Skills
Prior experience within sports, entertainment, or large public venues
CPA certification or MBA
Experience with NetSuite, Oracle EMP, Coupa, and ADP payroll systems
Detail‑oriented, with operational leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Self‑starter with a track record of process improvement
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Lead and mentor all Finance Department staff, fostering professional development
Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
Prepare monthly statements, annual budgets, reports, and presentations for leadership and board meetings
Partner with venue finance teams and general managers to implement financial best practices and ensure budget accountability
Present key financials and strategic insights at monthly board meetings
Ensure compliance with all tax and local reporting obligations
Oversee contract and deal review, event‑level P&Ls, settlements, payroll, and recordkeeping processes
Serve as the subject matter expert for accounting systems and internal controls
