ViiV Healthcare (GSK) Regional Sales Director, Pacific Region (CA, OR, WA and AK) - Field Based
We are looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Director to lead and grow ViiV Healthcare’s presence across the Pacific region, covering California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. The role is field‑based and involves optimizing access to our HIV products across a variety of payers and coordinating with key regional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and direct a team of Territory Account Managers to promote ViiV products to targeted physicians and academic centers and achieve specific sales goals.
Direct Territory Account Managers in the acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted business within the assigned area.
Participate in the formulation and execution of regional sales strategies and apply them to local market issues.
Work with VP/AVP to establish sales and profit goals for the geographic area.
Achieve or exceed sales goals for the area.
Engage key accounts (largest accounts in area) as the ViiV focal point, developing and implementing strategies, negotiating contracts, and servicing accounts.
Act as the local liaison between ViiV Sales and other ViiV sectors, building consensus on area strategies and tactics.
Identify and validate market opportunities and needs, assisting with plans to launch, test, and refine new product and service offerings.
Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives (CEO, CFO) and decision influencers in all accounts.
Manage and deploy resources, including financial and field staff, to ensure achievement of objectives and to establish and manage area expense budgets.
Work with Territory Account Managers to evaluate and direct sales presentations consistently.
Attract, develop and retain high‑performance individuals.
Provide training, coaching, follow‑up, and development for sales representatives in all phases of their work.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree.
9+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including 6+ years of specialty management experience leading teams.
Experience recruiting, developing, and leading specialty teams within an integrated account team model.
Experience developing strategic business plans with measurable, action‑oriented objectives.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically, including overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of HIV and related payer issues.
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
Self‑starter with ability to lead and work independently.
Proven negotiation and situational leadership skills.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and customer‑relationship‑management tools.
Experience in the Pacific region markets is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $177,000 to $295,000 annually, depending on location.
Annual bonus potential and eligibility for share‑based long‑term incentive programs.
