NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center, and the North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds.

Jacobi Medical Center has earned numerous Center of Excellence designations, accreditation, and recognition for its renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, Burn Center, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, regional Stroke Center, Snakebite Treatment Center, Breast Health Center, Bariatric Surgery Center, and Cancer Service. The facility also offers the region’s only multi‑person hyperbaric chamber, allowing up to nine patients to dive together at one time.

Opportunity Details

Determines and prescribes kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases.

Advises Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problems.

Recommends suitable anesthesia, advises on dosages, and consults on post-operative complications.

Reviews case histories and is responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology.

Attends clinical conferences.

40 hour work week with no embedded call.

Ability to make added compensation by taking call or additional sessional hour.
