Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
Supervise inventory accounting, COGS reporting, and validate BOMs, standard costs, and margin analysis.
Lead and mentor the accounting team while implementing process improvements and internal controls.
Requirements
Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with manufacturing accounting practices.
Apply advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and HR.
Ensure compliance with tax filings, audit requirements, and internal control standards.
Utilize strong analytical skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
Show experience in a Top 10 accounting firm and familiarity with private equity environments.
Exhibit expertise in cost accounting and managing general ledger integrity.
Display strong leadership abilities and willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
