About the Position
Cherishing Our Children Since 1977, the Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to helping children and families live better lives and build stronger communities. The PEAK Program (Promoting Education, Achievement, and Knowledge) is a part‑time after‑school math tutoring role that supports students and families through academic enrichment, mentoring, and skill‑building opportunities. The primary goal of the tutor is to strengthen educational outcomes while fostering confidence, resilience and community connection. Why Join CFCE

Provide math tutoring to students Assist students with homework, test preparation and foundational math concepts Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs Encourage positive learning behaviors and academic confidence Collaborate with PEAK staff, families and other staff as needed Maintain attendance records and brief progress notes Minimum Education & Experience
Strong proficiency in mathematics (college students, education majors and recent graduates encouraged to apply) Experience working with children or youth in an educational or community setting preferred Ability to explain math concepts clearly and patiently Reliable, organized, and committed to student success Background check required Skills & Competencies
Ability to compile data, complete reports and maintain appropriate documentation Ability to work with employees at all levels and with other agencies/organizations Positive attitude Ability to provide advocacy, linkage, and network services on behalf of clients and their families Consistent and accurate documentation and appropriate billing Employment Details
