Shift Supervisor
BTI currently seeks a shift supervisor with unquestionable integrity who displays a mature attitude and good judgment.
Responsibilities
In the absence of the Project or Alternate Project Manager, respond to the direction of the COR involving performance or delivery requirements.
Under the direction of the Project or Alternate Project Manager, ensure all Security Posts are supervised and manned according to the Security Posts Schedule, Location, and manning document.
Verify that the Security Operations Center (SOC) has received all incident reports for your shift and that any issue that may impact the security or safety of staff, patrons, visitors, or property is brought to the attention of the Project Manager.
Keep the Project Manager apprised of security and/or EMT responses, performance issues, and training needs.
Carry a current SPO license issued by the District of Columbia (DC) Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB).
Supervise the SPOs (Armed, Unarmed, and EMT) assigned to your shift.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, articulate communication, and be in appropriate uniform attire, groomed, and equipped.
Maintain strong relevant knowledge of the security industry and exhibit a customer service–driven mindset.
Effectively communicate and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements
United States citizen.
At least three (3) years of experience in law enforcement or security or a combination of both.
At least one (1) year of armed security experience.
High school diploma or equivalency; an AA/AS degree is preferable.
Current SPO license issued by the District of Columbia (DC) Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB).
Ability to supervise the SPOs (Armed, Unarmed, and EMT) assigned to your shift.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer service–driven mindset.
Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
Physical Demands
Physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties.
Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors.
Remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations.
