To learn more, visit .* Manage a team of Project Managers (junior to senior levels), Project Coordinators, Schedulers, Planners, Project Controls Consultants and Construction Managers.* Establish strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and technical communities. Represent Apex Systems as leaders at industry and professional events, while developing and maintaining a robust internal and external customer relationship.* Align project execution with client goals, regulatory requirements and safety standards.* Evaluate the culture and structure of the organization, collaborate with client staff to establish a long-term vision and guiding principles, identify obstacles and impacts of initiatives, and create strategies that ensure project success.* Develop and implement onboarding, training, and upskilling programs for team members.* Manage timelines and risk mitigation strategies across concurrent projects.* Develop an engagement roadmap and related reporting for client delivery. Oversee and ensure all deliverables are met in alignment with the Statement of Work with a focus on exceptional delivery.* Develop and track metrics to evaluate the performance of the project, including OKRs, KPIs and project success metrics. Create workflows, dashboards, and reports to provide the team with meaningful operational and performance metrics.* Oversee project lifecycle activities including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout across multiple utility domains.* Prepare documentation and assist in team development by supporting their commitments, eliminating obstacles, and utilizing organizational resources to enhance project work capacity.* Develop project plans, manage resources effectively, and adhere to budgetary requirements.* Facilitate stakeholder engagement, prioritize and manage the sequence of work, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs, while overseeing dependencies among various teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.* Lead and mentor other team members and direct reports. Oversee team day-to-day work priorities, ensure cohesive and high-quality deliverables, meet project deadlines, and take responsibility for engagement and team success.* Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, resource utilization, and team performance.* Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills, and executive-level communication/presentation skills. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.* Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with internal resources to identify opportunities.* 6+ years of proven experience managing large-scale utilities projects in any of the following: generation, transmission, distribution and/or facilities.* Deep understanding of the utilities industry, utility operations, power infrastructure construction, regulatory environments, and project controls.* Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or Engineering Management or Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Power Systems Engineering, or related field (applicable education and experience may be substituted) Master’s Degree a plus.* Thorough understanding of and proficiency with project management tools and methodologies(e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).* Experience supervising and leading teams.* Experience communicating and collaborating with utilities employees and being the liaison with customers to understand and translate requirements.* Expertise in PowerPoint, to develop high-profile executive presentations.* Experience creating dashboards and heat maps at various levels.* Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience overseeing cross-functional teams.* Must be based in Arizona and available to be in person on-site with client and/or job sites 3-4 days a week.* Employees who are not actively deployed on a client project and reside within a one-hour commute of an Apex branch office are expected to work onsite at least once per week* PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.* Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred.* Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.* Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.* OSHA 30-hour Outreach Training completion preferred.* GIS or Maximo familiarity or certification preferred.* Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of FERC, NERC, EPA, and state-level regulations preferred.* Experience with one of the following Project Software Platforms preferred:

+ Vitruvi: Manages the entire project lifecycle, integrating GIS data with construction workflows and providing mobile field reporting.

+ Trimble: An enterprise solution with advanced GIS for asset management and construction workflows, including geospatial mapping and compliance support.

+ Sitetracker: An industry-cloud solution for infrastructure projects like telecom, gas, and electric utilities, offering tools for network expansion and asset management.

+ Hexagon Utilities: Uses geospatial technology and subsurface detection, integrating ground-penetrating radar and 3D modeling for safety and damage prevention.

+ Locusview: A Digital Construction Management platform that automates data capture and streamlines the close-out process by digitizing field data.
