Overview We are seeking a visionary and results‑oriented Director of Supply Chain & Procurement to lead the strategic direction and operational execution of our global supply chain. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management functions. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong analytical mindset, operational expertise, and a collaborative approach to cross‑functional engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and optimized distribution.
Lead initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience, scalability, and sustainability.
Partner with Business Units, Sales, Finance, and other key stakeholders to align supply chain goals with broader business objectives.
Facilitate coordination between executive leadership and operational teams to ensure seamless execution.
Supervise daily operations including purchase order issuance, cost updates, delivery tracking, inventory monitoring, and product specification revisions.
Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure data accuracy across systems.
Lead supplier negotiations, contract development, and performance assessments.
Build strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
Design and implement efficient logistics and distribution systems to support timely delivery and cost control.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company policies across all supply chain activities.
Monitor expenditures, develop cost projections, and conduct detailed cost and performance analyses.
Deliver executive‑level reporting and insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, price analysis, or inventory management.
Proven leadership and team management experience at a senior level.
Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Deep knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated ability to foster team harmony and lead cross‑functional collaboration.
Travel
10‑30% overseas travel required for collaboration with Amkor Corporate procurement and overseas suppliers.
Travel to Amkor Technology Korea for 3–6 months to learn and benchmark procurement operations and strategy once hired.
Location This position will be based at the Arizona Tempe and Peoria sites during the construction phase and will transition to Peoria for management during the factory operation phase.
