As a key member of Savant’s executive team, the Chief Advice Officer will shape and execute the firm’s integrated advice strategy, ensuring a seamless, high‑impact client experience across all areas of wealth management. The role leads the alignment of financial planning, wealth transfer, Savant Legal LLP, risk management, investment management, and tax planning into a cohesive, scalable service model. The CAO will drive initiatives that enhance advisor effectiveness, elevate client value, and improve operational efficiency. This leader must bring deep experience in wealth management, fluency in financial technology, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Lead and coordinate efforts across various functional advice teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of strategic initiatives.
Manage a high‑performing team, fostering a constructive culture, providing clear expectations, direction, and support.
Develop and execute strategic plans for wealth advice services, aligning with firm goals.
Drive innovation in service delivery, leveraging technology and industry best practices to enhance client value.
Implement process improvements to enhance service delivery efficiency and scalability.
Monitor performance metrics and ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives.
Ensure all advice functions adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with wealth advice delivery.
Foster strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to maintain an integrated approach.
Client and Advisor Engagement
Develop and implement engagement strategies to enhance the client and advisor experience across all offices.
Measure utilization of resources and processes across client segments, markets, and offices.
Recommend technology, tools, and processes that enhance advisor and client engagement.
Advocate for advisors, addressing concerns and ensuring necessary support.
Collaborate with corporate communications to develop key messages and support content creation.
Unified Advice Platform
Lead the development and delivery of an integrated advice platform that empowers advisors and attracts potential M&A partners.
Work with advisory and technical teams to optimize platform utilization and change management.
Ensure the platform delivers comprehensive, proactive advice across all client segments.
Embed client segmentation and provide metrics for leadership to hold advisors accountable.
Leadership
Work closely with Head of Wealth, CEO, and other key leaders to drive organizational goals.
Represent Savant at industry events, conferences, and media engagements.
Active participant on the Executive Leadership Team and Operating Committee.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth management, focused on financial planning, advanced planning, tax planning, or wealth transfer.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple wealth‑management functions.
Knowledge of best practices for wealth‑management teams and firms.
Team player with a can‑do attitude and flexibility.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, and investment platforms (Salesforce, Tamarac, MS Office, MoneyGuide, eMoney).
Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees or professional designations (MBA, JD, CFP®, CPA).
Experience in multi‑state, multi‑office environments.
Experience overseeing investment management functions.
Ability to drive cost‑effective solutions while enhancing service delivery.
Deep understanding of the financial advisory landscape and client needs.
