IMEG is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design efforts and project management for moderate to complex building projects in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee engineering analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure client satisfaction. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, maintaining quality standards, and supporting business development.

Responsibilities

Lead design and analysis of structural systems using engineering software and tools in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards.

Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical reports.

Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build lasting relationships.

Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry and client standards.

Provide technical training, mentoring, and assistance in resolving field issues.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering; contribute to research and innovation.

Prioritize safety in all engineering activities.

Uphold ethical and professional conduct.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.

Participate in project interviews and presentations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required.

Master’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred.

Professional Engineer (PE) License required.

7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.

Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.

Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in mechanics and materials, load paths, design techniques, design standards including steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and concepts involved in structural systems of buildings and structures.

Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills.

Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise.

Ability to sell work and develop client relationships.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate effective team building skills.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.

Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
