Responsibilities The National Clinician Consultation Center (NCCC) will provide clinical education to external users via teleconsultation services and public-facing resources. Key duties include:

Answering clinicians’ calls nationwide regarding HIV/viral hepatitis transmission prevention, bloodborne pathogen exposure evaluation, and post‑exposure prophylaxis initiation.

Providing guidance on HIV/viral hepatitis prevention, evaluation, and management, including pre‑exposure and post‑exposure prophylaxis, antiretroviral therapy, and substance‑use evaluation.

Collecting and documenting education and training activity data to support accurate reporting.

Preparing and distributing educational materials to callers.

Participating in quality improvement and internal training sessions on emerging topics.

Assisting with regulatory activities to ensure program compliance.

Conducting team‑based education with allied professionals and addressing impacts of policy changes on healthcare delivery for high‑impact populations.

Maintaining a collaborative, warm, non‑judgmental approach with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Supporting weekend PEPline operations while the NCCC offers services seven days a week.

Required Qualifications

Graduate‑level (Master's or Doctorate) in a health professions training area (e.g., MD/DO, MSN/DNP, PA studies, PharmD).

Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing clinical studies and integrating new developments into clinical practice or guidance.

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in HIV/viral hepatitis prevention and care, including screening/testing, post‑exposure prophylaxis, antiretroviral interactions and toxicity, HBV/HCV prevention and vaccination, and STI screening.

Highly developed interpersonal and diplomatic skills; ability to influence all levels of leadership and staff.

Strong organizational and project‑management skills.

Competence in clinical practice, communication, case management, leadership, problem identification and resolution, and clinical teaching/training.

Demonstrated ability to document encounters accurately and promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

Board Certification in Family Medicine, Infectious Diseases, or General Internal Medicine.

Experience preventing and managing complex blood‑borne pathogen exposures (HIV, HBV, HCV).

Experience with complex exposures involving pregnancy, chronic conditions, or pre‑exposure prophylaxis.

Expert knowledge of current and emerging educational technologies and facilitation of technology‑based learning.

Experience training diverse groups of clinical learners.

Cross‑functional collaboration with clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders.

License/Certification

AAHIVM certification as HIV Specialist or HIV Pharmacist, or HIV Clinical Fellowship experience.
