Tax Manager (Boston area candidates only)
My client in Wellesley, MA is seeking a full‑time Tax Manager. This role would require occasional in‑office presence at the Wellesley office, but schedule is flexible.
Scope of Position / Overview of Responsibilities
Preparation of complex individual, partnership, fiduciary and corporate returns
Review of individual, partnership, fiduciary and corporate returns
Tax planning for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses
Research tax issues and formulate clear and concise conclusions
Provide innovative tax planning
Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
Coordinate and manage engagements with staff members
Communication with other managers and/or partners regarding engagements
Actively participate in continuing education and professional growth activities
Contribute to and foster a positive work environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA or EA required
Targeting 6+ years of experience in a tax consulting/CPA firm, with experience in High Net Worth, Partnerships, or S‑Corps (priority to High Net Worth and Partnerships)
Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
Proficient with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and experience with CCH ProSystem fx preferred
Analytical, technical tax and accounting skills
Ability to deliver excellent, quality client service
Excellent organizational/project management skills and strong attention to detail
Deadline‑oriented and results‑driven
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
