Hours:

Variable Shift Start Time, Variable Shift End Time. AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 – 8 Hour Shift. Weekend Requirements: As Needed. On-Call Required: No.

Pay Rate:

$30.370 – $37.950 – $42.510 per hour. Note: Actual pay depends on experience, education, and other factors.

Location:

Work 4 days a week at SRS Del Mar and 1 day a week at SRS Rancho Bernardo.

What You Will Do Assist patients, staff, and physicians to maintain efficient operations and quality care, ensuring a high level of customer service while providing quality nursing care.

Required Qualifications

California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians – REQUIRED.

AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS Healthcare) – American Heart Association – REQUIRED.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year LVN experience in related clinical area.

Ambulatory care experience.

ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association – PREFERRED.

IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) – Various – Employee provides certificate – PREFERRED.

Essential Functions

Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill within scope of practice. Assist and perform tests and procedures in the assigned department. Administer medications safely and accurately. Assist with medication verification. Prepare patients for examination or procedure. Obtain complete and accurate consent. Prepare and label biopsies. Document patient care. Collaborate with physicians. Provide education to patients. Use universal precautions. Resolve front desk issues. Serve as a positive role model. Participate in clinical projects.

Organizes And Completes Daily Requirements And Responsibilities

Telephone Message Management – Prompt return of messages.

Daily Organization – Monitor patient flow, physician schedules, and complete daily tasks.

Respond to urgent situations calmly and competently.

Ensure readiness of reports and information.

Maintain appropriate supply levels.

Participate in and prepare for site inspections and inventories.

Complete department inventories per guidelines.

Enter authorizations and schedule surgeries and procedures accurately.

Assist in other departments as needed.

Complete Nursing Competencies with a score of 90% or greater.

Complete Quality Assurance assignments and maintain compliance.

Demonstrate technical skills: equipment knowledge, information systems, emergency procedures, AEHR tasks, typing proficiency, insurance and scheduling knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills and nursing judgment.
