Goldman Sachs Alternatives Private Credit Established in 1996, Private Credit at Goldman Sachs Alternatives is one of the world’s largest private credit investors with over $150 billion in assets across senior direct lending, mezzanine debt, hybrid capital and asset finance. Deep industry and product knowledge, extensive relationships and global footprint position Private Credit to deliver scaled outcomes with speed and certainty, supporting companies from the lower middle market to large‑cap in size.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Advising Private Credit professionals on the structuring, negotiation and execution of financing transactions, taking into account legal, regulatory, reputational and compliance issues
Managing outside counsel and overseeing legal due diligence
Handling transaction‑related fund and fiduciary issues
Coordinating with other control‑side areas
QUALIFICATIONS
5‑7 years’ relevant experience working in a leading law firm, financial institution or asset manager
Strong commercial lending experience is required, with experience in private credit/direct lending preferred
Experience with private funds and BDCs as well as with bankruptcies/restructurings is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas and develop stakeholder relationships
