Optometrist – Sam’s Club (5110 N Oak Trfy, Kansas City, MO 64118-4621)
Sam’s Club is seeking an experienced optometrist to provide evidence‑based vision care to our members, including routine examinations, disease management, and prescriptive services. The role requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals and advanced technology integration.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye examinations and provide evidence‑based diagnoses and treatment plans.
Prescribe medications, contact lenses, and refer patients for corrective procedures such as LASIK or cataract surgery.
Educate patients and store associates on eye health, contact‑lens care, and disease prevention.
Consult with physicians and optometry staff to develop coordinated care plans.
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date electronic medical records and comply with state scope of practice regulations.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school.
Active, good‑standing optometry license in Missouri.
Experience with electronic health records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Proficiency in advanced diagnostic instrumentation such as phoropters and OCT.
Demonstrated ability to manage ocular disease and provide patient‑centered care.
