Sr Associate/Of Counsel - Construction Litigation
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Associate/Of Counsel to join our Construction Litigation team. This role is essential for providing expert legal counsel on construction‑related disputes, ensuring the protection of our clients' interests in complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee construction litigation cases from inception to resolution
Advise clients on legal rights and obligations related to construction defects and disputes
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, claims, and pleadings
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments
Collaborate with construction professionals to understand project specifics and potential legal implications
Provide risk management advice to clients on custom project agreements and contract administration
Handle payment disputes and breach of contract claims effectively
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to construction litigation
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in NJ & NY
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction litigation or related field
Strong knowledge of construction law, including contracts, AIA guidelines, and risk management
Proven track record in managing complex litigation cases
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
