Merchant Consultant – Bilingual in Chinese
Universal Processing LLC (uP)
Compensation:
Exempt position. Monthly salary $3,900 during the probationary period, increasing to $4,333.33 thereafter.
Role Summary:
The Merchant Consultant is the first point of contact for clients, serving as brand ambassador and presenting business solutions.
Responsibilities:
Generate leads, cold‑call, and prospect potential clients.
Conduct in‑person meetings to assess customer needs and present customized payment, merchant financing and marketing solutions.
Perform pricing analysis by reviewing clients’ payment processing statements and initiating proposals.
Follow up with potential merchants and review product features, benefits, and terms.
Close sales in a timely and effective manner.
Develop and maintain new lead sources, and create marketing programs to increase sales.
Build and maintain relationships with referrals and affiliates.
Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the US; E‑Verify employer.
Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred.
2–3 years of sales and/or customer service experience.
Previous experience in the Merchant Service industry is an asset.
Strong communication, critical thinking, detail‑oriented and analytical skills.
Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and results‑driven.
