Job Description We are seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead the Gas Heater & Heat Pump division in Nashville. This senior role is crucial in driving innovation, execution, and compliance across all new product development and sustaining engineering programs. The successful candidate will oversee a multidisciplinary team, shape the heating technology roadmap, and deliver safe, efficient, and market-leading products.
Responsibilities
Set engineering strategy aligned with corporate growth and product goals.
Lead new product development and sustaining programs with disciplined execution.
Drive innovation in combustion systems and heat pump electrification.
Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality.
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external vendors.
Essential Skills
12+ years of engineering leadership in product development/manufacturing.
8+ years managing multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in HVAC, heating systems, or thermal management.
Bachelor's in mechanical engineering required, master's preferred.
Excellent communication, governance, and vendor management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Direct experience with combustion systems, burners, heat exchangers, ignition, or emissions compliance preferred.
Experience in Aerospace and Defense, or other HVAC companies is advantageous.
Understanding of thermodynamics and R&D engineering.
Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $191,000.00 - $238,000.00 per year. Mid point $214,200 - $238,000. 20% annual target bonus, 10% LTI. Whole relocation package.
Workplace Type Fully onsite in Nashville, TN.
