Job Summary The GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) will be responsible for the sales performance of the full portfolio within an assigned geographic territory through successful execution of marketing strategies. The role focuses on growing business relationships with key decision makers and influencers, executing focused detailing to specific targets, and supporting the GI platform by leveraging evidence and outcome data.
Territory Location Greater Rockville, Maryland area and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts, meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives.
Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of novel GI therapies within the assigned territory.
Execute the selling process in a concise, compliant, professional, and persuasive manner that addresses needs and leads to action.
Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of GI disorders, assigned products, and competitive products within the GI marketplace.
Build and maintain long‑term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders.
Create and implement a territory‑specific business plan, utilizing all available resources to foster a successful sales environment.
Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
Apply a customer‑centric, needs‑based selling approach with targeted healthcare providers.
Use sales reporting systems regularly for call preparation, activity tracking, and market intelligence gathering.
Organize meetings and deliver content to healthcare professionals on GI and nutrition topics, aligned with defined account objectives and metrics.
Conduct promotional programs for both professional and patient audiences.
Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or related field.
3+ years of medical/clinical selling experience with demonstrated success in specialty medical products or 5+ years of combined sales and clinical experience.
Fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Consistent record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Ability to develop solid long‑standing business relationships with strategic customers.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Will require 25% or more travel to develop internal and external relationships.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Compensation and Benefits Approximate pay range: $110,000 to $130,000 (subject to factors such as knowledge, skills, and geographic location). Nestlé offers performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, including a 401(k) with company match, healthcare coverage, and a broad range of benefits.
