Craighill
Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 | Full-Time | On-Site
About Craighill Launched in 2015, Craighill is a design studio and manufacturing brand based in Brooklyn, NY. We create enduring, beautiful, and useful objects that celebrate material, process, and the satisfaction of thoughtful design.
Rooted in curiosity and craftsmanship, we design products that invite people to engage more deeply with the built world. As our ecomm business grows in both scale and complexity, the systems that support our digital storefront have become increasingly central to how customers experience our work.
We take great pride in our work and are building a team of remarkable people who share our values of Ingenuity, Empathy, Endurance, and Wonder — and who are energized by creating seamless, high-integrity experiences for our customers.
The Role As Craighill’s Ecomm Operations Manager , you’ll build and maintain the systems that bring new products to life online, ensuring every launch lands with accuracy, coherence, and care. You’ll serve as the connective thread between design, marketing, sales, and operations, translating creative intent into precise execution across Shopify and our broader commerce ecosystem.
This is a midlevel role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, design-led environment and brings disciplined project management, operational rigor, and clear communication to every phase of a launch. You’ll manage critical paths, coordinate cross-functional work, and keep complex timelines steady and predictable. You’ll also live inside Shopify day-to-day, owning product setup, QA, and ongoing maintenance.
You’ll sit on the Operations team and play a central role in how Craighill shows up to customers. Your mandate is simple but high-leverage: make our launches seamless, our systems durable, and our digital storefront an extension of our design integrity.
Essential Functions You ensure products are presented and transacted online with precision and consistency across channels.
Own Shopify product setup end-to-end: SKUs, variants, collections, metadata, pricing, availability, and configurations.
Maintain clean, consistent Shopify architecture across launches, including B2B catalogs, price lists, permissions, and customer segmentation.
Maintain a single source of truth for product data across Shopify, internal systems, and sales materials.
Run disciplined product-page QA before every launch (assets, copy, specs, pricing, inventory logic).
Oversee merchandising updates, site sequencing, pre-order logic, and launch-day homepage/module swaps.
Identify operational issues early and coordinate fixes with Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, Sales, and our external development partners.
Keep the Shopify app/integration stack organized, documented, and fit-for-purpose.
Launch Program Management You anchor the full lifecycle of every launch.
Build and maintain structured launch timelines and critical paths.
Own go/no-go readiness and recommend launch delays when required.
Create clarity across teams and remove friction from handoffs.
Gather specs, briefs, talking points, and product details.
Prepare the creative team with organized pre-production requirements.
Maintain detailed asset checklists (photo, video, copy, specs, SKU/pricing, B2B materials).
Track progress and close gaps quickly.
Coordinate across Design, Creative, Marketing, Operations, Ecommerce, and Sales, driving decisions and deadlines.
Surface risks early and resolve issues before they elevate.
Ensure launches feel predictable, steady, and well‑managed.
Wholesale Operations Support This role supports wholesale readiness and execution; the Sales Director owns accounts and revenue.
Maintain and update line sheets, catalogs, and wholesale asset kits.
Own the sample workflow and tracking system for wholesale (requests, inventory, shipping, returns).
Ensure specs, pricing, and inventory information stay aligned across Shopify, sales materials, and internal systems.
Maintain a standardized wholesale asset hub and distribution process for partners and trade shows.
Coordinate operational handoffs between Sales and Operations for PO intake and fulfillment readiness.
Systems + Process Improvement You make the launch engine and commerce operations better every cycle.
Run post-launch retrospectives and document learnings.
Identify bottlenecks and recurring failure points in launch and Shopify workflows.
Turn fixes into repeatable SOPs, checklists, and templates.
Improve cross‑team intake and prioritization so work stays planned, not reactive.
Reduce cycle time and error rate quarter over quarter.
Qualifications Must Have
Strong project/program management experience with cross‑functional teams.
Exceptional organization, accuracy, and communication.
Comfort managing timelines, dependencies, and multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience running launches or comparable multi‑step operational projects.
Shopify familiarity and willingness to work in admin systems daily.
Comfort operating in fast‑moving, multidisciplinary environments.
Comfort owning decisions and enforcing standards in a collaborative, low‑ego way.
Nice‑to‑Have
Deep Shopify experience, including B2B catalogs/price lists/permissions and complex product configuration.
Creative operations or launch production experience.
