Well Established consultancy with an expertise in geotechnical engineering seeking a senior engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience.
13th December, 2025 Join a highly respected consultancy delivering specialist geotechnical, engineering and technical services across major infrastructure, development and building projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Designer to take a leading role in the delivery of complex schemes across the UK and beyond.
You will become part of an established team of geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and geoenvironmental specialists, working collaboratively to provide high‑quality technical advice and innovative design solutions for a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake the design and analysis of complex geotechnical structures, including foundations, slopes and retaining walls
Contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects, including nationally significant schemes
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, efficient and innovative geotechnical solutions
Provide technical input and mentoring to junior team members as required
Preferred Experience & Skills
Proven ability to plan, supervise and interpret ground and groundwater investigations to inform geotechnical design
Strong experience in the design of embedded retaining walls, pad foundations, piled foundations and associated geotechnical elements
Proficient in the use of industry‑standard geotechnical software such as FREW, SLIDE, Settle 3D and Plaxis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and project teams
Experience managing small to medium‑sized projects and coordinating the work of others
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, or actively working towards chartership
Typically 10+ years’ geotechnical design experience
