Company Profile North Gonja Community Foundation LBG (NGCF), is an incorporated public nonprofit charity organization based in Daboya, serving the communities in the North Gonja District of the Savannah Region of Ghana. It is a district‑wide community owned philanthropy and development coordinating agency supporting the communities to thrive. The foundation was officially launched on 31st December 2022 and commenced operations thereafter. The purpose of NGCF is to promote community leadership, serve as a vehicle for community philanthropy through promoting active local philanthropy and giving by past and present residents of the district both individuals, families and organizations for the development of all local communities in the District to enhance community vitality. The organization thrives on the power of community solidarity by building a movement of community supporters who annually make generous donations of resources to contribute to the development of communities in a complementary manner to what comes from the state and other development actors.

Job Summary The Executive Director of NGCF is responsible for leading the organization's efforts to improve the quality of life in North Gonja District. The ED is the chief resource mobilization officer of the Foundation and will provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction to achieve the foundation's mission, goals, and objectives on an initial volunteer work engagement basis.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership guided by the strategic plan of the foundation and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, community engagement and community building. Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders.

Build Community of Supporters:

Build a community of donors or supporters from the past, present and future residents of the district including those in the diaspora community in Ghana and outside Ghana.

Community Engagement:

Organize annual events both digital and analogue to increase community vibrancy, promote community building, community acceptance, community giving and vitality.

Fund Development and Philanthropy:

Design, initiate and lead fundraising efforts to grow the foundation's assets and the Community Endowment Fund. Build relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations. Develop and implement donor engagement strategies.

Grant‑Making and Community Investment:

Oversee community grant‑making processes and policies. Identify community needs and opportunities for community investment in community projects that address the critical needs of the communities.

Organizational Management:

Lead and manage a productive and results‑oriented team. Oversee budget development, financial management and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Accountability:

Ensure the foundation operates in a transparent and accountable manner to community of donors, community members and relevant state authorities through annual independent audits, reporting, communication and organizing annual community accountability sessions in the district.

Board Relations:

Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the Board. Ensure effective communication and reporting. Support Board development and governance.

Other Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationship with local media.

Participate in national and regional community foundation networks.

Stay informed about philanthropic trends and best practices.

Education Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
