Director, OEM Incentives and Pricing – Mobility

The Team:

The Sales and Marketing Solutions Consulting Team supports nearly every automotive OEM in the U.S. market to fully leverage our data assets through custom solutions and use cases. The team is known for its collaborative and team‑oriented culture, fostering an environment where innovative ideas and strategic solutions thrive. This role will be integral to the team, with one direct report focused on analysis and dedicated product support responsibilities.

The Impact:

This newly established executive role will lead the application of our Market Analytics product suite by presenting analysis and use‑case examples to improve sales and incentive planning performance for our customers, including OEM executives. Candidates should be data‑driven, well‑written, and able to communicate a compelling story with executive presence as well as concrete data points and metrics while teaching others to do the same. Additionally, this role will collect VOC and collaborate with the Product Team on enhancements and future roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

Lead comprehensive market analysis focusing on automotive sales trends and incentive strategies.

Influence and drive product roadmap prioritization by using strong business analytics, voice‑of‑customer feedback, product positioning, and ROI.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align sales strategies by developing value proposition during the pre‑sales process.

Present custom insights to senior‑level clients including C‑Suite executives based on industry‑leading S&P Global Mobility data assets.

Provide actionable insights to stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations, including C‑Suite engagements and relationship development.

Monitor industry developments and adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

Mentor junior analysts and consultants to foster a culture of excellence and growth.

Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field.

15 years of extensive experience in automotive sales planning and incentive strategies preferred.

Deep understanding of sales operations from a quantitative lens with extensive problem‑solving capabilities.

Direct leadership experience working for an OEM responsible for sales in the U.S. market or a related consulting role.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.

Excellent communication skills and executive presentation skills.

Ability to work independently as well as lead as part of a cross‑functional team.

Frequent travel to client locations across the USA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.

Experience with S&P Global Mobility data assets.

Proven track record of successfully implementing sales strategies in the automotive industry.

Experience presenting thought leadership topics at related industry conferences.

Global mindset with an understanding of international automotive markets.

Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Compensation/Benefits Information (U.S. Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,000–$213,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
