The Senior Director, FP&A is a strategic and operational finance leader responsible for shaping financial strategy, driving performance across key business metrics, and ensuring strong alignment with both Precor and larger leadership teams. This role partners closely with the CFO, CEO, and cross‑functional leaders to translate business goals into actionable financial plans. As a highly collaborative leader, the Senior Director oversees end‑to‑end forecasting, develops financial reporting frameworks, and provides insights that enable data‑driven decisions.
Responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning processes for Precor.
Oversee forecasting for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with the larger FP&A team.
Conduct scenario modeling for new business initiatives and provide project management support for strategic programs.
Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and decision‑making frameworks.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real‑time insights to executive leadership.
Business Performance & Strategic Insights
Provide data‑driven insights to support strategic planning, pricing models, and investment decisions.
Analyze operational variances related to sales forecasts, supply chain delivery, labor utilization, and product acquisition costs.
Recommend KPIs to measure business performance and support root cause analysis when results deviate from plan.
Participate in strategic planning and support on‑time execution of tactics and initiatives.
Provide thought leadership on working capital drivers and optimization strategies.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Strategy teams to optimize financial outcomes.
Support evaluation of market expansion, M&A opportunities, and competitive positioning within the fitness industry.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to evaluate capital investments and support the stage‑gate NPI process.
Drive business case development across functions, ensuring data integrity and financial rigor.
Cost Structure & Operational Efficiency
Establish a proactive framework for cost structure analysis, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Implement financial processes that strengthen operational effectiveness and enhance financial discipline.
Lead analysis and optimization of pricing, cost, margin, and market share across multiple product categories.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
9+ years in a leadership FP&A, financial strategy, or corporate finance role.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, business intelligence tools, and data analytics.
Proven ability working with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams in a dynamic, matrixed, fast‑growing industry.
Knowledge of fitness industry metrics, digital fitness trends, and consumer health & wellness market dynamics.
Experience in a multi‑site manufacturing and global sourcing environments.
Experience with an integrated sales and operations planning process.
Able to create and monitor key performance indicators.
Pay Range: $240,000 to $280,000
The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
