About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Technology industry, is looking for a skilled SAP MM Purchasing Consultant to join their team for a 6+ month engagement. This project involves the design, configuration, implementation, and support of the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process with a critical emphasis on long‑term supplier agreements and Just‑in‑Time (JIT) material delivery. This is a high‑impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly to ensure supply chain continuity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- P2P Process Optimization: Design, configure, implement, and support the P2P process, specializing in Scheduling Agreements and Purchase Order (PO) Configuration.
- Scheduling Agreement Management: Implement and manage Scheduling Agreement Release Generation (Forecast and JIT), including the underlying configuration (e.g., Creation Profile).
- Master Data & Development: Lead Master Data Management for procurement and manage RICEWF developments in Procurement Processes.
- Analysis & Support: Conduct Business Process Analysis & Optimization, Testing, Troubleshooting, and provide essential Training & Documentation.
- Integration & Compliance: Ensure seamless integration points between MM, FI, and PP (especially MRP), and maintain a strong understanding of MM‑IM (Goods Receipt, Stock Transfers) and SAP Logistics Execution (LE) processes.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience as an SAP MM Consultant.
- Deep expertise in SAP MM Purchasing, covering Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts, and most critically, Scheduling Agreements. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori‑based procurement applications is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage project deliverables on time, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to resolve complex supply chain issues.
- Experience with the full range of P2P processes, including knowledge of Ariba/SAP SCC Processes (a plus) and familiarity with EDI/IDoc message types used for procurement documents.
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills, capable of facilitating workshops and interacting with both business users and technical teams.
