Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal individual will demonstrate strong clinical assessment abilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care in a variety of acute care settings. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, assist in critical situations, and contribute to a safe and effective healthcare environment for patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:

Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring. Deliver care in multiple settings such as ICU, OB, ER, pediatrics, and adult acute care therapy. Clinical Skills:

Demonstrate proficiency in the use and maintenance of mechanical ventilation, ABG collection and interpretation, and ECG performance. Maintain and monitor ventilation equipment and perform necessary adjustments as required. Emergency Response:

Assist in the implementation of advanced life support protocols, including ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Rapid Response, as well as assisting with intra and inter-hospital patient transport. Communication:

Effectively communicate with physicians, co-workers, patients, and families to ensure the highest quality of care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement care plans. Safety & Quality:

Utilize techniques and practices that ensure a safe care environment. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, and contribute to departmental quality initiatives. Education & Prevention:

Promote cardiopulmonary disease prevention, education, and wellness among patients and the community. Stay current on advancements in respiratory care and medications used in the treatment of cardiac and pulmonary diseases. Customer Service:

Provide exceptional patient and family support, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction. Professional Development:

Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices. Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to departmental growth. Additional Duties:

Assist with committees, special projects, and other tasks as directed by management. Some outpatient testing may be required based on departmental needs.

Skills & Qualifications: Licensing/Certification:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification preferred. Experience:

Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred, with exposure to ICU, ER, pediatrics, and adult care therapy. Technical Skills:

Proficient in mechanical ventilation, ABG collection and interpretation, ECG performance, and respiratory therapy protocols. Communication:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Critical Thinking:

Ability to assess, prioritize, and provide appropriate care in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Customer Service:

Commitment to providing excellent customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
