The SAP Finance Consultant will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring SAP FI solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules. This role includes developing functional specifications, coordinating with technical teams for enhancements, conducting system testing, and preparing end‑user documentation and training. You will provide ongoing production support, assist with closing activities, and collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to optimize processes, drive system improvements, and support full lifecycle implementations, rollouts, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and design solutions to meet these requirements.
- Facilitate interaction with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements.
- Develop test strategies and manage large complex test efforts.
- Business process design and system analysis.
- Coordinate and manage across architects, developers, technical services (i.e., BASIS, Middleware, Portal) and business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities.
- Maintain, enhance, and/or develop SAP modules, including interfacing with other applications.
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning.
- Support data migration design, development, and validation.
Qualifications
- 4+ years SAP S/4HANA or ECC Finance experience.
- SAP Finance subject matter expertise in two or more of the following domains: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting.
- Experience with SAP Public Sector Financials.
- Funds Management experience, including the ability to track and control detailed budgets organized by Fund, funds center, and commitment item.
- Configuration experience and the ability to create a budget for each level of this three‑dimensional structure.
- Expert‑level proficiency in SAP FI and CO modules.
- Advanced‑level proficiency in SAP Group Reporting/Consolidation.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Team lead experience.
Compensation
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is $93,400—$243,100 USD.
