The firm seeks a 3–8 year associate to join its Labor & Employment group in Alpharetta. In a flexible remote/hybrid environment with in‑office collaboration preferred for training, you’ll handle high‑stakes defense litigation, expand into government contracts/investments via the firm’s Initiatives entity, and accelerate to equity partner.
Why You Should Join
- Lead Bet-The-Company Litigation Early: Defend national employers in wage/hour class actions, discrimination, whistleblower, and NLRA matters, with courtroom arguments and client counseling from day one (backed by firm’s representation of RNC and presidential campaigns in employment disputes).
- Collaborative, “No Asshole” Culture: Zero micromanagement in a streamlined 20‑attorney team with transparent compensation and minimal conflicts—rated top for associate satisfaction by Vault and American Lawyer.
- Career Growth & Recognition: Clear equity partner path (even for associates originating $250K+), mentorship from name partners like ranked in the Super Lawyers Top 100, and training ranked #1 in Georgia for mid‑size firms.
- Flexible, Lucrative Model: Remote‑first with Alpharetta office preferred for collaboration, Cravath‑scale base + bonuses tied directly to originations/collections, and benefits supporting long‑term success.
- Contribute Meaningfully from Day One: Advise influential clients (political committees, C‑suite executives), litigate in federal/state courts, and access deal flow through the firm’s investment/government contracting arm.
Key Duties
- Litigate wage/hour collective actions, Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, and retaliation claims from intake through trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions (summary judgment, class cert opposition), and conduct discovery/depositions.
- Advise on compliance, handbooks, and executive employment agreements.
- Collaborate on multi‑jurisdictional cases and government contract disputes.
- Support partners in client development and strategic advocacy decisions.
- Represent clients in federal and state courtrooms, including arguing motions, evidentiary hearings, and jury trials when cases proceed to verdict.
Ideal Candidate
- 3–8 years labor & employment defense experience (management‑side preferred).
- Proven courtroom and deposition track record with strong academics.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and client‑communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset eager for autonomy, political/high‑profile exposure, and equity partnership.
